It’s more of a humanities-focused program, with courses such as marketing, branding, HR, sales management, economics, and financial management. It is ideal for socially active individuals, helping to develop communication skills, teamwork, and determination.

Graduates can work in banks, insurance companies, offices, administration, trade, services, and more. This is the broadest specialty offered in Finland.

Duration is 3.5 years, including 6 months to 1 year of exchange studies abroad.  The last 6 months are dedicated to writing a thesis.

Then you can continue your studies in a master's degree (2 years). A master's degree in this specialty is intended mainly to improve the skills of working people, so classes are often held in the evening, online or on weekends. Work experience is required for admission.

After completing your studies, you can work in the management of any organization.

HOW TO ENROLL IN A FINNISH UNIVERSITY

1. Choose a University

You can apply to up to 6 universities, and take just one entrance exam, which doesn't necessarily have to be in Finland.

UNiF Advice:

If you're unsure which university or program to apply to, book a consultation.

2. Get an Exam Invitation

To receive an invitation to the entrance exam for Finnish universities, you must submit the required documents on time. The deadlines and required documents depend on the chosen university.

UNiF Advice:

Use our services to ensure your documents are accepted by all universities on time. Our service includes selecting universities, application consultations, document translation, submitting applications, filling out registration forms, delivering documents to Finnish universities, registering for the entrance exam, and providing the exam invitation and instructions.

You can clarify deadlines, prices, and terms with a manager.

3. Prepare for the Exams

Each program has its own exam format, which can include an interview, written test, math test, and English test.

No knowledge of Finnish is required.

UNiF Advice:

For confident admission to Finnish universities, it is recommended to score at least 6 on the IELTS Academic test. UNiF can help you prepare in a way that suits you.

4. Take the Exams

Exam dates depend on the chosen university, usually in April or November each year. Studies will begin in August or January respectively.

You must correctly submit documents to the admissions office to receive an exam invitation.

UNiF Advice:

You can travel to Finland for the exam with a regular Schengen visa, just bring your invitation, which we can help you obtain.

5. Obtain the Right to Relocate

Several processes occur in parallel:

  • University registration,
  • Ordering and paying for student housing,
  • Receiving a residence permit card from the Finnish Migration Service.

UNiF Advice:

Passing the entrance exams doesn’t automatically guarantee enrollment. You must submit necessary documents to several organizations quickly:

  • The university,
  • The housing organization,
  • The student insurance company in Finland,
  • The migration service, and
  • The embassy.

The most crucial step is obtaining a residence permit, especially if the student is under 18.

UNiF will help you manage everything on time.

WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO CONTACT PROFESSIONALS

Our relationship with UNiF began in 2016.

I want to immediately share the result we achieved by the end of June 2018. My son, a high school graduate, was accepted into Vaasa University of Applied Sciences for a bachelor's degree in engineering in the field of information technology, taught in English. We secured accommodation in the student town, and all the documents for a residence permit in Finland have been prepared.

Thank you for the help and valuable advice!

Our cooperation and communication with UNiF began in December 2013. My son traveled to Petrozavodsk to take the IELTS exam, as he planned to apply to Arcada (a university of applied sciences in Helsinki).

Several key factors contributed to his successful exam performance. First, the detailed and clear consultation over Skype (we live in the Murmansk region). Second, my son's English lessons via Skype, preparing for the IELTS exam with Alla. He always approached these lessons with enthusiasm. And although he, like everyone, was nervous before the exam, he felt quite confident.
